Production of website and photography of the food for their menu.
Moshi Moshi is a sushi restaurant in central Växjö, Sweden. I got a tip from my photography teacher that they wanted their food photographed, so I contacted them since I like product photography. My job was initially to photograph their food, but that developed to also include a total remake of their website.
The photos were taken in the restaurant with studio flashes borrowed from school. They wanted photos of both the different kinds of food they have, and also a photo for each menu item. These photos were going to be presented in the online menu on the new website that I was going to build.
The website concists of a few different parts. Info pages like home, catering and contact. The menu, where you can see all the different things you can choose from, a photo of it, some info and price. The site also offers a delivery system, where a user can register and order delivery to specific predefined locations. The user enter a sum of money that he or she wants to use for delivery on the site, and when processed by an administrator, the user will get an invoice to pay. After having entered the sum, the user can choose what food to order, destination and date.
Of course there is also an administration system that is easy to use. It is custom built for this site, which makes it well integrated with the site. To be able to change the food menu, there is a simple system for that, similar to the actual menu page. You just choose the menu item to edit, change the information and save. All text on the site is easily edited through the content editor which has two modes; WYSIWYG and HTML. It uses TinyMCE for the editor, for which I created small plugins for the functions save, delete and HTML mode. The last big part of the admin system is a small system for handling orders and invoices.
